Dear Ms. Stull,

We would like to thank you for the services of Paragon Real Estate and Rob Costabile in particular. He is the consummate professional and a true credit to your industry. We have had numerous bad experiences with other realtors on the East Coast and even one, here, and Rob set the example for how all realtors should conduct themselves.

Rob worked patiently, diligently and with sophistication throughout our 18-month search for our “forever” house. Because we lived in Washington D.C., there was the additional challenge of having a bi-coastal relationship. Each time we came to San Francisco, Rob had a targeted plan for each stage of the process from helping to educate us about the market, to making the final selection. There was never, ever any sense of our time being wasted, he listened carefully, quickly learned our tastes and desires, never exerted any pressure, and always took our lead as we increased the amount we were willing to spend on the home. When we ended a negotiation after extending an offer on a home in Pacific Heights (due to the seller’s realtor’s behavior), the patience that Rob showed was honestly unbelievable. Then, within days when the price of a home in Cow Hollow was reduced to being within our range, Rob reacted with urgency, diligently researching all he could find that might cause concern, before we took another bi-coastal trip to see the house. This house had everything we were seeking, superb neighborhood, views and bones, and we would have paid the new asking price. However, again, acting in our best interest Rob gave excellent, pragmatic advice about the counter offer, that both allowed the seller to save face and which ended up saving us money. As we’ve told others, it was an elegant negotiation for an elegant home.

Rob also went above and beyond what we would have normally expected from a realtor, so that his role didn’t end with the closing. For example, he drove us to the airport to make tight flights on multiple occasions, and has provided excellent suggestions for professionals such as electricians, house cleaners, etc. to help save time and get us connected with the people who could provide service to our demanding level of expectation. He gave a much appreciated and very tasteful housewarming gift and has called at least twice to follow-up on how we liked the house, the neighborhood and offer any further assistance. Even when Rob was out of town for one week, the temporary coverage provided by one of his associates was equally impressive.

In short, we could only wish our experience with Rob and Paragon Real Estate for others and we will certainly recommend both of you as colleagues that we transfer from the Washington D.C. office become ready to purchase in the Bay Area. Our deepest appreciation to you for the systems, hiring foresight, training and obvious philosophy of integrity that lead to our outstanding experience.
